In the autumn of 2019, Eurocon participated in an extremely heavy project, where four of our welders spent 1,500 hours producing a 24 tons heavy lifting traverse for BMS, a crane operation based in the northern part of Denmark. The traverse was made from 15 to 20 mm steel plates and has a lifting capacity of 800 tons. Once the lifting traverse had been finished, it was used in the production of the world’s largest wind turbine in the Port of Rotterdam, where BMS used the traverse to lift the wind turbine 140m up in the air.
